Twitter with ads

I might be slow, but until now i just realiase there is big banner on top of twitter, i seldom visit the twitter site, that’s why i m not sure since when the big banner is on top.

I just wonder will this work ? if i compare plurk with twitter, i feel that twitter more like a service that you will use a 3rd party tools to access it , it doesn’t have some very personal feature like plurk, which you must login tthe main site to use it. The example i m talking is like those action “ask”, “say”,”share” and the time line.

You can choose to minimize it and it will become a smaller tab beside the menu bar.

this raise a question, if twitter really go commercial, will you spend $$ on it ?
