If you watch the intro video before , you should know that it is very easy to use Balsamiq Mockups to draft out a layout , you can even use the commands to select the UI you need and place it on you mockup really quick.I m using the desktop version which run on adobe air , which mean it can run on different OS platform , combine with the power of dropbox , i can mofidy my wireframe at any place.

Overall i really happy with Balsamiq Mockups performance, the only things that i don’t really like is how the application handle grouping. Example if you suddenly need to ungroup one of the object within groups of object, you must ungroup all the objects, you can’t ungroup the object that you need to edit only. That’s my only complaint so far.

One of the important website that you can’t miss – Mockups To Go , this blog collecting some of the mockups which done by Balsamiq Mockups , some time there will be special created UI Library release too. If you have some $$ to spend , there are this tool – Napkee that export your  mockup to HTML/CSS/JS and Adobe Flex 3.

first they release Tumblarity , which is stat info of your acitvity in tumblr, this remind me of stats in facebook public profile page which keep track the user engagement.

Inspired by wefollow – the twitter user directory , tumblr release their own directory too.

One of the biggest problem of posterous is without customize theme, tumblr now allow user to submit their own them for other user to use, this enhance the tumblr theme feature.

lastly tumblr just release bookmarklet with new theme, i do like this new design.It’s good to see the dev team actively create something new, because of this i created a tumblelog too.

What are the selling point on their pro account ? annotate the PDF

if you ask me , i can’t really think of any web2.0 company that is famous in this area, mabye these guy really hit a sweet spot ? after i give it a try on this annotate pdf feature, it is not much different from the annorate the web site, you just highlight with different color and this can be organize and show in the report.

so how much does it cost for a pro acount ?  is $10 ( ok $9.99) each month to allow you webnotes account with pdf annotation feature, there are 50% discount for student currecntly, i wonder will this 50% apply to beta user too ?

p/s I just find out there are 50% discount apply for beta user too , great work webnotes.

Some of the webnotes features that i like

• Clean interface – compare to diigo, i would say i quite happy with webnotes interface, clean and clear
• Simple idea – the product itself is very focus and simple, didn’t try to add some strange social feature in ( which is currently the trends )
• Multiple highlight color – it allow you to choose multiple color to highlight the text, which is a unique feature compare to the rest of the similar product.
• Friendly UI – after click on the highlight button , once you highlight anything a small box will show that allow you to change color,delete it or view it on your account
• more then 1 way to annotate – it provide bookmarklet and firefox addon to make use of webnotes feature.
• Publisher feature  – allow you to share your research in either HTML or PDF.

the only one thing that i don’t really like it is the way it handle listing content.

Currently when i highlight a paragraph of listing content like this

but after i save this and view it in my publisher , i prefer it still able to show in listing form

other then this i think more export way by publisher should be provided ? example by rss feed or email. Currently i still have 10 beta invite, leave your email here if you want the invite.

this is wha i write on my gadget page before, which is my “idealy” setup.

• using N810 iphone/ipod touch as mobile device on the road
• using a netbook for going around

Yes , i own all these now, sold my macbook pro this year and change it to iMac , getting a refurbished ipod touch as birthday present and bought a netbook recently, for 2009 the only thing i would like to change will be my mobile phone. G1 ? or iPhone ? or maybe the rumor iPhone nano ?

For web application/web service 2008, these are my favourite 12 service

1. Gmail – being my main mail client, i like all the label, filtering and IMAP feature.
2. Coogle Calendar – my major calendar servie, that let me plan my schedule, sync with my ical.
3. Google Analytics – using it to keep track my blog stat.
   
4. Google Reader – my favourite rss feed reader , now it sync with my ipod touch through byline for my daily morning travel.
5. Del.icio.us – still my favourite bookmark manager, can’t find any replacement.
6. Facebook – my favourite social network service 2008, help me in sync with my friend and know what happen to them.
7. Twitter – i post most of my thinking on plurk, twitter more like for me to see what other is talking.
8. Plurk – micro blogging , if facebook is for me to in sync with my real life friend, the Plurk is more like for me to in sync with my virtual friend.
9. Netvibes – it’s my start page for some time already, allow me to keep track a lots of thing inlcude my email, my blog comments and some tech news.
10. Buxfer – i blog about this recently , it keep track my income and expenses.
11. Remember The Milk – my GTD tools , todo list that remind me what i need to do
12. Evernote – my notes apps, currently fill with a lots of notes that i need read

• firefox addon – it’s wired that the button to add a site into reQall on status bar, the button should be somewhere within the reQall toolbar
• core – adding new section call links , i think links should be another major category other then note and todo
• contact – using plaxo API might not be a good idea ?
• IM – please adding MSN provider
• IM – the command seem a bit complicated, maybe a more straightforward method will be better
• Photo – please added flickr service support.

the iphone application looks cool, too bad i m using the ipod touch, cannot test the voice record feature,anyway this might be replace rememberthemilk as my gtd tools, let me fully using this for the next few week and compare with rememberthemilk.

What this service provide is simple, line,free hand and text, if you using line , it will track the line you draw and generate the shape, when you select free hand then the generate shape feature will be disable. You can type some word once you click on any place of your drawing area, by combine text, line and free hand, you can draft out you idea easily.There is grid feature and allow to snap on grid, this to make sure the line that you are draw will be stay properly on the grid, it is good for you to position your shape.

Other then simple to draw, the sharing/collaboration feature is another killer point, i tested by open 2 browser and the delay is minimum, Once i change the shape on my safari, within 2 sec the same thing has change on my firefox. Without register you can just copy the address and share it with your friend to do some ad-hoc drawing.

i did a compare between knight and imknight

as you can see , imknight is still available for most of the service, those taken should be done by me too, knight is consider too general and among most of the service, knight has been taken. Still thinking about what username to choose ? this service is recommend for you.

Buxfer give me a plus membership free , i think maybe all beta user will get it free ? but one funny thing is for Plus Membership which cost $1.79 every month will serve with ads, hmmmm this is the first time i heard about paid membership with ads, maybe this sepecial Plus Member is for us beta user, which wish to have some advantage but might not become a paid member.

Will i become a member ? i m struggle on this, so far buxfer meet my need, it allow me to track my expense, but it doesn’t sync with any application, i got cha ching from my machiest bundle, i think i should start sync this 2 before buxfer wipe the plus membership or i can’t stand the ads anymore.
