So I learn about the new Google Analytics v5 , which I been using since the beta release , there are a few interesting features, just list down some of important things in the event.

• Tracking campaign variable – allow you to keep track of different source with different tagging, I use similar setup before on Omniture.
• Mobile Measurement – there is this new section on Overview which allow you to understand more about the mobile visitor on your site
• Social Measurement –  I thought this will be auto too but it seem like only Google + is auto , the rest of social apps need some JavaScript call to trigger, but in a way you can customize and tag all the social actions on your site.
• Google Insight Search and Google Ad planner can let you understand more about what user searching for and what you can focus on to get more visitor.
• Using Google Site Optimizer to do A/B testing.
• Multi-Channel Funnels is really cool that you can find out all the pre action before the last click.
• Page speed has been highlight and the faster your site the better conversion rate you will be getting.

It might sound useless in the first place but if you are working as a freelancer/web developer when your client  asking for report and lazy to login google analytics ? Metric Mail will be here to help. This allow us  to save the trouble for export the result from Google Analytics and style it nicely on excel just for the non-tech person to view it.

Since this is still a beta service, how they going to monetize the service still remain unclear, what I guess might be charge by domain , frequent of report or how detail the report is. Anyway I like the design very much and I hope they will success.

Currently Polaris is free for single website/profile, if you need it for multiple website/profile , you have to pay for USD $15 per year. I think base on current features , it seem a bit hard for people to pay this amount just to see the same data they can view on web, if bundle with some of the upcoming project ( Dopac,Rayet, Phobia), then maybe it will be more worth it.

This remind me of woopra , anyone still remember this real time website tracking and analytics service ? it seem like still in close beta, you need invitation in order to use it.

So after doing some research, it seem like there are user suggest to fill up a form that show on adsense official blog, some people worry that might be a trick because the form is build by google doc, but there are some positive reply that user getting the linking feature after fill up the form.So i give it a try and i getting the links appear on my adsense account after two day.

I have just complete the linking process, it’s just a few click only, it seem like the results will only tell after few hour, if the adsense is tie to your main analytics profile , it seem like no javascript code need to change, if is tie to other profile, you might need to modify the javascript code that adsense generate. So fill up the form today if you want to analysis your adsense by analytics.

after playing with it a while, this new interface remind me of salesforce.com dashboard feature, which you are allow to create certain report and put in at the dashboard , you can customize the whole dashboard to suit your own need, put the info that you most concern on top , be it visitorship ? page view ? or browser version.
