Free Mind mapping application for mac

There are so far 3 free mind mapping application that i know is able to run on Mac.

Freemind – one of the famous open source mind mapping application that is free, it support multi platform include windows, linux and mac.
MindNode – a mind mapping application that only run on Mac , there are free edition and pro edition which are around USD $15 only.
XMind – a new comer of free mind mapping application market, it seem like they are changing business plan, from commercial application moving to open source application.

Mind mapping is one of the skill i been trying to learn, but yet to manage, i just hope these application can help me enjoy and understand more about mind mapping.

Mindmeister goes live

I blog about web based mindmap before and giving out beta invitation of Mindmeister .

Subscription model has been intro after Mindmeister goes live, you can view the feature comparison , the free version allow you to create up to 6 mindmap. This actually puzzle me a bit, will there be any user actually pay a small fee for tools like this ? Don’t forget there are still some competitors out there

Web Based Mindmap

If you know about mindmap and wish to mindmap every where ( as long as you are able to access to internet ) , there are 2 web based mindmap service appear recently.

MindMeister

Currently in private beta mode
Basic feature is included, font color and icon feature available
Line format should be improve example include different color, weight , style
Auto format layout feature ? a feature that will reorganize the layout of node
it seem like allow to sharing a mindmap and Collaborative editing
Version control is included
Base on the title created, it allow searching through wikipedia or delicious for related info

Mindomo

currently Open Beta
Build by Flash
More feature compare to MindMeister
Include formatting layout feature, which can rearrange all the node in different layout
Rich Content support and allow to upload images
different pricing model available

I still prefer freemind ….
