It seem like Instagram is all over the internet for today , althought I don’t really have a good experience with it, even though I like the application concept.

So what is Instagram ?

It is a iphone camera apps that allow you take take picture and adding some effect on your photos ( ex lomo style )
You can upload to your Instagram account while cross publishing to different social platform example such as twitter, facebook, tumblr etc.
Last but not least, there are some basic social feature on each Instagram account which allow you to follow other Instagram user

No good experience ? Yup so far I like the apps idea, but I m having lots of problem with it.

I have register an account, but every time i start the apps , it ask me to login again, once i enter my username and password, it just go back to login page again
I only manage to upload 1 photo, my second photo was stuck and keep on retry but failture.
Most of the pages are keep loading / blank, this happen on my popular tab and news tab.
I auth my facebook and twitter while posting my first image , but when i try the to post 2nd image, it looks like i need to auth again.

I guess once these issues has been iron up, it should be something interesting. You can check out my first Instagram is here .

Update : currently it seem like all singtel user cannot login the apps properly, you can try to use Wifi but if you are on singnet also, then bad luck.

Bantam Live is project management with social network

I found this gem when i cleaning out web applications on my beta list ,my first impression this looks like another social networking site like facebook but i m wrong, this is more like a project management web applications with networking feature with your colleague and client.

Bantam live is like create a smaller facebook for you and your company colleague and management the project with activity stream, example you can upgrade your status so that your colleague know what you are doing ? ( imagine Yammer or Twitter ) then you can create event or task , all these info will be list on your activity stream and the person that you assign to. Other then these standard feature, Bantam live include CRM feature that can show which project your company working on related to which contact ( of course you can leave some comments on this contact, so that your colleague that handle this project know what to avoid ).

Personally i like this idea , the rest is really depends on how they marketing this product,base on compete’s data it seem like after the techcrunch’s post , their traffic is going back to normal, we will see how they going to hit the sweet spot again.

Social Media first step

I just read this post Social Media Decision Tree , it’s just like my currently my situation, i been planning to intergrate some of the social application into our network, but there are really a lot of yes and no pending. What can do , what cannot do, how to do it. There are no formula out there for you to follow.

Some of the user only heard about the social media buzz , just blindly think that social media will bring them what they want, that’s one of the reason i always try to explain it first, what these tool can do and what these tool can’t do and the most important try not to follow other competitor just to “be there”.
