Setup custom domain on Squarespace [Day 6 - 30DSIC]

If you are getting pro package or above at squarespace , you are able to setup custom domain on your account. What custom domain means is allow you to setup your personal domain to your squarespace account, in stead of using the squarespace subdomain.

So how to setup this custom domain ?

there are 2 major thing you need to change on your domain registrars, i m using reseller club which provide free dns management. You need to change

• CNAME , setup www.domain.com CNAME as www.squarespace.com
• A record , setup domain.com A record as this ip 65.39.205.54

take note the different of www vs non-www, www is for CNAME and non-www is for A record

after that login your squarespace account , Website Management -> Structure -> Custom Domain , add your domain. After the domain added , you can just click on the check setup to make sure that your setting is correctly. If your setting is correct, this is what you will see.
