There are lot of open source project out there, the most recently one what i heard is the open source beer , but today what i saw which supurise me is the open source domain – OpenDomain.org
they have list of free domain which they would like to provide "FREE" for responsible group, so if you have any idea which you wish to develop, email them and see can you get one of those domain.
but what make this site famous, its they give WordPress.Com to the Wordpress foundation for FREE in exchange for a link, but now on the Wordpress.com it just left Domain donated by Ric Johnson at the bottom , you can check the detail .
hhmmm … after what wordpress did last time and now ..
