Error: “LiveUpdate could not retrieve the catalog file…” or “Cannot connect…” when running LiveUpdate for Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition
Situation:
Presence of S32luhl1.dll file
To delete the S32luhl1.dll file and the Settings.LiveUpdate file
Look in the C:Program FilesSymantecLiveUpdate folder for the S32luhl1.dll file. If the file exists, then delete it.
Delete the Settings.LiveUpdate file. The location of the Settings.LiveUpdate file varies according to the operating system:
For Windows 95/98: C:WindowsAll UsersApplication DataSymantecLiveUpdate
For Windows NT 4: C:WinNTProfilesAll UsersApplication DataSymantecLiveUpdate
For Windows 2000 and XP: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSymantecLiveUpdate
thought : i was thinking my lan or my internet connection having some setting wrong at the begin .. after google .. then just found out whats the problem !
you are a genious. Been trying to get this for a day or so. No symantec help on their site says anyhting about this and it’s such a simple solution.
