i am doing lots of backup after i lost my 2 week program in office, i recall again how important is backup, so i start to backup my home pc data. since my program usage been change i don’t store bookmark on my browser now day, i only store it on browser if i going to read it again in 10 min times, else i will all post to my del.icio.us
So my corcen is how am i going to backup my bookmark at del.icio.us ?
export the bookmark by http://del.icio.us/api/posts/all save it on your deskstop , what if i want another copy in other social bookmarks service ? so i think about rawsugar , it allow you to import the export file of del.icio.us, althought it wont immdiately do it, but it will email you once it done
Ash, the import starts immediately but we found that users got concerned when it isn’t done after a minute or two, so we added the option to get the email you received and not wait to get started. Small sets of pages, a few dozen up to maybe 150-200, will finish right away but users have imported as many as 12,000!
We plan to add some features in the next release cycle that will simplify using RawSugar as a backup/alternate along the lines of your post here by the way and when we do I look forward to your feedback.
