I thought it should be no harm for just connect and it seem like there is a share button after each quest complete , I assume that the social network sharing will done manually , after connect my social network account and playing for another 10 minutes , checking on my Facebook and Twitter, it flood with all the in games news, it seem like that games is trying to get viral by doing all these auto posting.

As usual  ( it seem pretty typical tactic for all the freemium games now day ) I want to stop the auto posting and delete all post & tweets , but I can’t find any options for it ? for Facebook , I use to found these options on the applications tabs but it seem like no longer there , on the twitter side , the usual page for apps that I authorize also nothing found, how am I going to disable all these auto post ?

It turn out that now day no longer need to tweak the setting on the individual social network ,  all these settings can be tweak on the iPad , for example for Facebook , you just navigate to Settings on iOS , there should be a Facebook section, you will see apps that you allow to use your account. Turn if off and the games unable to auto post any news to your Facebook account any more.

Same setting apply for twitter too, just disable it and no longer having any auto posting on your twitter account.

once you pause the app to do auto posting , now you can start clean up all the auto posting on your Twitter and Facebook, I like the game but I don’t like being spam like this.

But I like the web version interface so far , in stead of cartoonish like last time , now is looks like a more polish product, below the new twitter login/sign-up page, looks stunning right ?

and this is the actual interface after you login. You have 3 tabs on top , Home, Connect and Discover.

• Home – this is the default page of your twitter ,  it’s reverse from the old version, now the tweets is on the right and the left navigation will be your account info, trends and recommendation.
• Connect – this include both interactions and mentions, interactions seem like include mentions and who has follow you recently.
• Discover – Stories seem like popular topic , activity is about what happen on the person you follow , recommend who to follow, find friend and Category all under this tab.

1. Pulling down to refresh , there is indicator showing and telling when is your last update

2.There will be small notification how many new tweets after you push to refresh.

3. Click on the Timeline button , you can select your twitter list and checking tweets on those list.

4. When you click on tweet , the hyper link will auto highlight and action bar show.

5. On a single tweet , swipe to left is Conversation , swipe to right is Related Tweets.

All these tiny thing add score for this wonder twitter client, so far after I start using Tweetbot, I have not longer use the official client. There are one only problem which is there are no notification setting for Tweetbot , you can pair it with Boxcar , if you really need the notification feature. Currently Tweetbot are selling at promotion price $1.99 , get it now before it increase the price.

• Gmail – checked  , it use https by default.
• Facebook – checked , it redirect you and use https too.
• Twitter –  ….

I not sure why but I can’t surf the twitter with https properly , it might be my browser problem , or the connection problem , in the end I just give up to use the web-based twitter.

Today Twitter announced that they added the setting in your profile page , this will force to use https by default when you login through the browser.

How to turn on this ? just go to Settings -> Account  and you will be able to see the last option is for HTTPS Only , checked it and save. Do take note that this does not affect 3rd party twitter client, this might be one of the reason for Don’t Try To Compete With Us On Clients .

One of the great example is other then communicate with Tech person on Twitter, I recently start to communicate with my brother , his friend and my wife together on Twitter , some time we tweet about World of Warcraft, some time we discuss about ebook reader, I find that communicate in this way is much better then on IM.

1. It allow everyone to join in conversation, some time I just rant about something and all your friend are join in to discuss the issue you have.
2. It allow information sharing , example I saw my brother and his friend was tweet about Kobo , I give it a try and start to buy ebook from kobo too.
3. It is not required real time respond like IM , we expect there is delay when we communicate on Twitter, When we discuss on IM, very often we are waiting for the reply and want the reply ASAP.

Another example now day when I want to know what happen recently of my friend, I just get into Facebook and check on their profile will do. There is no need to phone call and force the other party to answer the call ,without knowing hows their mood ? or trying to IM your friend , started the conversation and don’t know how to continue ?

Twitter just announce that they have added local trends for more country and city, Singapore is one of the Asia country that getting the local trends feature. If you want to check other country/city local trends , just click on the change links beside your current selected country/city , this allow you to switch between different country/city trends.

Looking at the Singapore Local Trends, it looks funny to me. I only know about “Raya Haji”, which is the reason of today being Public Holiday. If you want to find out what are the meaning of each trend, What The Trend will give you more detail info of each trend and what are the tweets build up these trends.

This explain why I like the #NewTwitter , it looks like a new web client for Twitter and enhance the User Experience and Usability too.

As you can see the #NewTwitter Interface become 2 column , on the left will be your usual timeline, on the left it will show the related info on the highlight tweets, example user’s bio that mention in the tweets , tweets that mention about the user and the latest tweets from the user, user that reply this tweet, user that retweet this tweet and etc.

If only Twitter is adding the preview feature, which mean if is an image url, the smaller version image will show on the right column, if is a shorten url, it will expand to the actual url on the right column, if is a video url , you can just play it on the right column.

like most of the people say , this changes is aim on twitter , i bet most of the user will like the clean n simple interface , what i miss the most will be the filter feature, there are no way to filter the post in the lite mode , which mean i will see all the story , page update, status in 1 screen , which is quite messy . I wonder if only display your friend status only will be a good idea ? anyway this is the facebook lite screen shot and i have added some comment.

So how does flickr2twitter work ? first add your twitter account on the usual blogs configuration page.

authenticate your twitter account through oauth, this will allow flickr to post photo to your twitter account. Just browse through your photo as usual, when you decide to post one particular photo, just select blog this.

you only allow to inset 116 char, because it reserve some space for the short url of the photo, the shorten url is using flic.kr domain, it seem like a special shorten url for flickr only.

that’s it, now i can see the tweets with the photo url showing on my twitter account, simple and straightforward. Simple interface + shorten url + big fan base , that’s why i say the rest of twitter photo sharing service is going to facing some problem, i wonder will there be stat to read on the flickr shorten url ?
