Why i like web service is because basically as long as you have connection you can access your service but for sure there are some time you can’t find any connection, or you only able to get connection for a while , thats why sync/synchronization is very important.

The Holy Grail of Synchroinization this post give me lots of idea, too bad i can’t really get Schedule World working and putting all the egg in one basket seem danger. I visual my whole syncing with Gliffy

so what i have ?

Calendar

• Work Calendar ( outlook ) – this will be my main calendar which include all my work related appointment
• Other Calendar (outlook) – this will be multiple calendar on my google calendar, example like my web project calendar, my personal calendar which i don’t like to mix all in one

Bottleneck

• Outlook XP on my working notebook – lots of plugin/software doesn’t work with this version and i can’t avoid since is pre-set by company
• Multiple calendar seem like not support on both windows mobile and palm

Device

• My notebook – running on Windows XP
• My PC – running on Windows XP
• My Phone – Treo 750v running on Windows Mobile
• My PDA – Palm TX running on palm

I trade my Dopod with this Treo plus some top up from my dopod new owner .. not sure is a good deal or not but so far i still quite happy with this new phone.

so far for the first day experience , i would say the interface of treo is more user friendly then dopod, i can almost do everything by the button without touching the screen , when i using dopod not only both hand have to hold the keyboard, my thumb some time still need to do some touch screen work

anyway the only issue is WIFI , although there is a memory card wifi solution but it seem like a funny solution and it block your typing too, i m thinking can i use my TX as a modem to share the connection with my Treo via bluetooth ??

2. 2 MB pixel Camera, compare to Treo 680 VGA Camera and Treo 750V 1.3m Camera
3. Battery Life, dopod have longer batter life compare to this 2 Treo
4. Its a 3G phone compare to Treo 680
5. Feel like trying something different

at the end i sold my set with low low price , about $100 different with the second hand market price, a good lesson to me … after i sold the phone, i been using my bro treo 650 while searching a new phone that i like, quite a few model that pop in my eyes like Nokia N80, E61 , Treo 750v, Eten 500 and dopod D810, when i about to get Dopod D810 then i find out that the keyboard is really useful so at the end i get a second hand ( 1 month ++ old set ) dopod 838 pro.

argh ! for the first time i move into windows environment willingly ………….

After i getting my Treo 680 , i start looking at all palm/treo related web site and books, it happen that i found Palm & Treo Hacks this book in library. One of thing that made up my mind to stay on Treo 680 , it actually teach me a lot of fun of palm os , some of the tricks i haven’t try on my treo but it seem did help me to use the treo in different way.

Give it a try if you are new to Palm & Treo, you might start loving Palm & Treo because of this book.

So far for the past few day i still trying to get use to the phone, one of the good thing is the VGA camera quite powerful, the bad thing is the battery life is a bit too short. I still trying to look for some good software for it , thinking how to fully utilize this phone.

anyway i wish that WIFI or 3G features coming to palm smartphone soon.

• $100 discount, the official retail price is $888 but it slash to $788
• I can trade in my old treo 600 for $120
• i can exchange the stupid palm picnic set to something useful, at the end i got the desktop charger which retail pricing about $60++

a bit of history of my digital life , starting by using Treo 600

after that because the phone got some problem and i m bored that having all in one phone, thats why i move on to 2 different device, Palm TX and K750i

but after these day i think all in one still better, bring 2 device is killing me, at the end my PDA is on low usage, thats why i m getting Treo 680

Before this i m consider Treo 750V , but it cost like a bomb (S$1200++) and its on windows mobile platform, the 3G feature did attract me a bit but after all sort of consideration i think Treo 680 is a better choice

So the only thing is lets hope i can sell my Palm TX for a good price, then i can get this treo happily
