after spending some time to play with each themes, i believe i want a widget ready themes, i need it to be 3 column, the main content column must be able to fit nicely with my prev post and it should working nicely with the sidebar module, so none of the above themes meet my requirement.

So , i put my searching back to k2 again, i find out that the nightly build have 3 column feature, hmmmmz there are quite a few 3 column k2 out there, will this cause any impact to the rest ? currently it only support left and right dual sidebar, lets hope in future you can choose which layout you want.

so far the changes i see for this nightly build

• a new backend interface
• support 2 sidebar
• new ajax navigation feature (which you can see on this site)

this is what i want ! that’s why spending a few hour to get this theme up with my own setting, now is almost ready just a few more tiny issue to resolve. Taking this opportunity to clear some of the plugin, remove most of the stat plugin, since i already using google analytic and statcounter. I changed the old contact module which keep getting spam to the new Secure and Accessible PHP Contact Form , lets hope no more spam can get through.

Rolling Archives can’t display properly, it will display some database error, just edit this file options/app/info.php , looking for this sql query

$num_days = $wpdb->query(“SELECT DISTINCT post_date FROM $formwhere GROUP BY year(post_date), month(post_date), dayofmonth(post_date)”);

change the $fromwhere to your actualy post table name, by default it should call wp_posts , after changing this parameter , the rolling archives feature should be work again.

p/s this quick fix suitable for those new themes that created base on k2, assume you have modify a lot of code and just need to get this fix, this fix can be apply for all my k2-ing themes.

other then the outlook is slightly different, these are what i add in

• added landing sites plugin support
• added socialble stylesheet support
• added super-archives stylesheet support

this release is fully compatible with the latest k2, lots of k2 feature can be display without problem, even the rolling navigation i have fix it to display properly

So why is it a sneak release ? because i don’t wish to release this at first, its build on outdated k2 themes ( k2r167 , current version is 0.9 ), when i try to port over my style sheet on the new k2 themes, geez ! lots of thing been changed, its going to be a lot of work, which i don’t think i can make it for short time, thats why i release this themes under the old k2 structure for some of the user which been keep email me for the theme.

Apologize if some of the k2 feature is not working, because i did some hack and slash on it, which might affect some of the feature, since i not using all feature , i can’t really tell what is broken.

How to use this themes ? as usual just upload to wp-content/themes , apply this theme under Presentation, go to K2options->K2 Scheme , select switch.css and apply.
