I m not a Yahoo Fan, this might be the main reason i hate to see this merge, my current yahoo id is use for YIM ( company using this as official communication tools ) and for my flickr account only, both delicious and flickr founder leaving Yahoo make me feel even more disappoint. I still remember during the period where Flickr account merging with Yahoo account,lots of issue happen and there are complaints everywhere, there are even user refuse to merge and leave the service. I m not sure after this few year, the same kind of merging will be causing any issue or not , but if can i really prefer to have stand alone account for both service, in stead of having a yahoo account.

Maybe i should consider pinboard ?

This might sounds weird to some of the user , because for the current web2.0 digital world, when you are willing to beta test one product, most of the time the producgtion company will just offer it for free or some time some of the company even need to offer some reward in order to get user to beta test their product. Base on techcrunch’s post comment, we can see that most of the user agree that this is quite innovative but most of the user can’t accept this.

Another interesting point on why $2.84 ?

The fee is based on the formula (number of users * $0.001), so the earlier you join, the less you pay.

Although the sign up mention having this statement, but it seem like is charging every one the same amount , yet it mention the fee in base on number of users, which mean currently there are 2840 users. Anyway i m still considering to pay this or not, i m quite happy with del.icio.us , although i don’t mind to give new service a try, i m just thinking shall i give this creative business model some support.

Using it for my own reminder is quite helpful for my productivity , the only problem is these inbox link cannot be remove. You can remove the for:username tag, but the bookmark will be still remain in your inbox until today. Delicious has just announce that you can remove the bookmarks in your inbox now and there are some other feature release with this upgrade.

This feature allow remove bookmark one by one or you can bulk edit your bookmark, after you remove these bookmark from inbox, don’t worry it will still show under your bookmarks tab. Seem like i can continue to dump link in my inbox, if you have some informative links share with me please.

after i did some clean up, which visit about 20+ link and remove about 30+ link, suddenly i getting “You been blocked” message. Geez, i didn’t use any 3rd party tools, i m using the web base apps itself yet i m getting blocked.

hmmm it’s been 10 min and it still haven’t unblock, geez if like this please give me a mass edit tools which can let me handle my links easily.

So when i importing my bookmark to my new account ,

Bookmarks you import will be kept private. We encourage you to share them after importing; that way, everyone can benefit.

i was like oh ok, maybe it should allow user to choose import as public or import as private, i thought that there will be a button for me to mass changing my bookmark to public. No there are no button for this , you have to change bookmark by bookmark, this is sux.

By the help of google, finally i found the only solution by using Re-Mark , it allow you to do some mass update on your bookmark including set these bookmar to public by page. For 2000+ bookmarks, i running this script page by page just to share my bookmark, it is waste of time.

i wonder until when del.icio.us can have all the mass feature implement ? be it mass update or mass delete.

Del.icio.us is having the network idea for quite some time, this networkbadges is just in time to let more people get involved , with some of the setting, copy and paste the script , your network status will be display, simple yet powerful .
