It’s been sit in my laterloop for sometime, finally today i spend some time on it and give it a try - Feedly. So what feedly does is building a more social+magazine style start page by combining your feed with some feature .
I like it in the first place, then i start playing around, uninstall-reinstall-uninstall-reinstall again and i get fedup. It will be nice if …
- Integrate with google reader is a nice feature, but if feedly won’t change my feed structure arrangement in my google reader, that will be perfect, it change all the feed under one category, which mean if i using google reader without feedly installed , i will be damn lost.
- Uninstall feature is a must , i think it started with some mess , until the uninstall feature is ready , although it did revert back my google reader setting , but it doesn’t reset the one on my feedly.
- No way to clear all the feed, even i try to uninstall and reinstall, those feed that port from my google reader is still remain there
- So because of this issue, i don’t want to import my netvibes feed, for more testing, at first i thought this might be replace my netvibes’s feed part, so that my netvibes won’t take so long to load, but think i can only give up this

Did you plurk ? if you did i believe you should be happy for the recent changes. There are better interface, feature and improvement, but what i going to share is something from their lab, analysis your plurk life and understand you - Plurk Analytics . So base on the analytics …

My original post is more like upset that why wordpress doesn’t QC the plugin that hosted on wordpress extend. After i read about the plugin author comment and the discussion on wordpress forum , i think i got more to say.
- Is it “wrong” to have a link back to the author? It asks for nothing and costs nothing - It is nothing wrong to link back to author, but provided the user know about it and don’t mind to link back.
- I don;t understand the point you are trying to make - this markup can’t be affecting your site; it’s hidden - you are wrong,visibility: hidden will still affect the layout, visibility:none is the one won’t affect
- it was another plug-in that I used a while back which gave me the idea, as it did exactly the same thing - you can’t beat them , that’s why you join them ?
- You can always choose not to use the plug-in - that’s your choice - this has been answer in the forum, unless someone know how to read the code , people don’t really know what you did in these code
- after all the main issue is not putting a link back as credit, is you try to hidden it.
It is sad to see people that contribute to open source and have thinking like this, yeah yeah you have did bla bla bla and bla bla bla but this doesn’t give you the authority to do this, you might be able to do that if you are selling a commercial software i guess. Thanks for Donncha O Caoimh for report it to the support forum.

I m on my new hosting account, which is using cPanel control panel, it’s been sometime since i last using cPanel, so i m trying to figure how to use it.
First thing i want to add an additional domain, going through the interface and i find out that i can add only add the new domain as addon domain, this raise my SEO alarm. Why ? When you add a addon domain on your main domain, it actually might create some duplicate content.
Let say i have maindomain.com and seconddomain.com, so i going to add my seconddomain.com as addon domain for my maindomain.com , but after i done, i actually can access seconddomain.com by seconddomain.maindomain.com, it serve as subdomain. so the seconddomain.maindomain.com will actually have same content like seconddomain.com which will be getting penalized by search engine.
I digging around google for solution, which is something simple, just add .htaccess redirect from the subdomain to maindomain will do , sharing this with fiends that on share hosting and doing SEO.

This come to my mind, what are the process to get your plugin hosted on wordpress extend ? is the people at wordpress actually check the submitted plugin and make sure these plugin doesn’t consist any malicious code ?
During weekend , i happen to test some of the plugin in order to tweak some of the setting of my blog and i found this plugin - Last Year Widget which is perfectly meet my need, it show your archives post on previous year during the same period.
I thought that the plugin that i download from wordpress main site, shouldn’t have any problem, but when i using it on my sidebar, it seem like the display a bit funny, i thought is some CSS issue and planning to edit the code, guess what i found ?

if you are not into html/web programming/web design, what it does is putting this link on your blog when you use it, but didn’t show up, you won’t see it but you are giving him free link back.Today if someone can just hide a link like this, tomorrow maybe one of the famous plugin are the reason your blog been hack !
i advice anyone that using a lot of plugin should check your source code and checking is there any link that you don’t know but is found in your source code ? on a side note Wordpress Exploit Scanner is really sux because it cannot tell this plugin got problem.

I just did these to hope that can optimize my blog traffic, just to share with the rest.
- optimize the blog strcuture , remove some of the no content pages and remove different level of page.
- changing my Permalinks structure.
- edit some of the setting of my all in one seo .
- edit some of the setting of robot meta .
- submit this blog to dmoz and yahoo directory.
- verify and checking on google webmaster tools , yahoo site explorer and MSN webmaster.
- update site that i pinging, remove some of the site already gone.
- regenerate a better sitemap after all the changes.
lets hope this can shape up my blog traffic.

How many domain do you own and how many of these domain is not in use ? I just did some domain clean up and this question actually pop up. The reasons that i need to clean up these domain is because domain price will be increase again on oct again.
As usual before the actual price increase, my domain registrar will have some renewal promotion , this is the time i have to make decision which domain to keep and which to stop renewing,I currently have about 15 + domain, those that active and running something on it should be around 6 only, some of the domain i have register for few year thinking to build something on it but until today it still remain blank, some of the domain i build something before and its consider having some sort of memory on it, did a google on it can still some of the site still link on it, i really don’t know shall i drop it.
One of the good example is after i migrate from ahknight.net to imknight.net, i m not sure shall i continue to renew ahknight.net to maintain the redirect? i have build some theme before which until now still pointing to it. There is one domain which i build for chinese blog community and even been report by some chinese news paper before, i also struggle shall i renew it or not.
Maybe just renew one more year ? if nothing going on these domain i shall drop it next year ?

Other Inbox is one of the demo during TechCrunch50 , i manage to grab the beta invite and give it a try, What Other Inbox does is like slogan on their blog - the cure of email overload.
What you getting after complete the registration is getting an Other Inbox domain name, example for mine is imknight.otherinbox.com, by having this domain, you can put in any name without any special configuration and it work, example you can use facebook@imknight.otherbox.com for facebook , plurk@imknight.otherbox.com for plurk.
Currently i think only Gmail have this similar feature. you might think what’s the point to have all these trouble ? one of the thing you can do by using this unique name feature, you can track down who actually selling your email address to those spammer.
Another interesting feature it will actually organize the email into folder by brand, i wonder is it base on the domain ? but i understand some of the service sending out their support email other different domain, wonder will it take care of this ?
Some other useful setting like allow to send notification or foward all the email that receive by otherinbox domain to your personal email account, export exmail and allow to configure additional domain.otherbox.com, all these sounds very promising.
One of the interesting is the icons on top , still under development,i wonder what other suprize will we getting when it go live ? i really look foward the calendar feature.
