Parallels Green Computing Bundle

One of the biggest advantage on Mac is you always can see different software combine and selling as bundle, most of the time it will have 1 or few famous application as the main attraction, the rest will be some useful mini application/indie application/games.

One of the funny comment from my friend, why include Mac Scan , do we actually need that ? We are on Mac !

Tell-A-Friend copy AddThis plugin ?

Everything has a begining, it start from i blog about Tell-A-Friend widget, then because of researching the widget, i blog about the rest of widget that having similar feature and i did some mistake and mention

I just wonder any one that actually put more then 2 ? the common combination is Tell-A-Friend with AddThis , the widget of Tell-A-Friend even alllow you to insert your AddThis Username to get both work with one plugin.

I never go through the code properly and i thought it function like that, so i register an AddThis account and try to get a username to put in the Tell a Friend plugin so that i can get both working , but after i put my AddThis account username, AddThis widget didn’t show.

Suddenly an idea pop up , Oh MY GOD ! don’t tell me Tell-A-Friend copy AddThis plugin but never change the code properly ? so i compare both plugin, the structure is the same just the class name is different and the funny part is in Tell-A-Friend plugin , it consist of addthis_username at first, later when the function calling , it become pramati_username.

p/s do let me know if both company are related, then it might just a careless mistake of the developer.

4 Widget for your reader to share your post

I just blog about Tell-A-Friend widget, but during my research i found some other similar type widget, each have their own unique feature, but the main purpose is still helping blogger to spread their post.

I just wonder any one that actually put more then 2 on their blog ?

Tell-A-Friend widget

I saw someone manually did a similar widget some time ago, which allow user to important their email and password, then the system will foward that particular blog post to the user’s email contact list, this heat out the discussion about privacy.

Today there is one new widget - Tell-A-Friend which is fully automated for doing this and not only just email, it able to post to twitter , post through IM, and post through your email’s account contact list.

So i give this widget a try, for wordpress there is 2 option , you can choose plugin or self insert code,select a theme that you like, describe what this widget doing, select how many tools to display,decide the size of your widget and what button to use, all these can be customize.

Tell a friend not only all these powerful feature, it include backend usage report, which telling the usage of your widget, include which tools your reader using, which tools is more popular, by access these statistic, you can tweak your setting to suit the reader need.

I belive the main problem of the widget still privacy concern, can you trust it by provide your email and password just to share something ? I don’t think i will, although i did provide these info when i using plurk or twitter just to find out who on my contact list has been using the same service.

If you blog content not a lot/complex, this few plugin might be meaningless for you, if you have 20+ category, 30+ page and 40+ links , these 3 plugins is your savior. This 3 plugin allow you reorder your category/links/pages in a easy way, drag and drop.

That’s why this 3 plugin can call it once off plugin, you use it once in a while, but it really help you to cut down a lot of time, i wish this can be integrate into next release of wordpress.
