Singapore have 4 IT exhibiton, i went for The PC Show and IT Show , i thought this time i not going to buy anything so i not actually keep track for this IT exhibition at first.
But i can’t find my linksys router receipt which mean i cannot exchange a new router for my spoil router which also mean i need to get a new one .. sigh, after do some last minute research, i went to the comex show at suntec around 12pm.
base on my experince going to this kind of show have to be early, else later will be a lot of ppl come in ..
so i search high and low for linksys booth at first, because there is a 5 port swtich selling at SGD $29. after searching for a while the people is getting lots more, i decided to give up for that “starhuy” swtich and getting a wireless router. so i comparing linksys and d link this 2 brand, my target is a wireless G router with lan port. It seem like d link its slightly cheaper then linksys and have life time warranty.
so this is wat i get
the wireless G router which have a print port and a wireless G pc media card for my notebook ( since i change the office wireless to wireless G my smc wireless B pcmedia card cannot work in office any more so this new card can let me wireless in home and office ), this combo cost me $SGD145. there is another high end model which will cost me more and claim that it can reach 108MBps, but my wallet dun have so much bullet, so i just choose this combo which claim can reach 88MBps .. ( standard wireless G is 54 Mbps only )
other then this i also register the Hardware Zone membership for SGD$11 and i bought some CD-R for office use too ..
thats all for my comex trip i come out around 1+pm and seem lots of ppl is coming in ..
