Drupal Vs Mambo

After playing around with xoops for 1 year ++ , i start playing with blog system and any blog related tech, but at the same time i still keep my eyes open on the CMS (Content management system) market.

Drupal and Mambo are the 2 cms which catch my eyes, drupal get my attention when i looking for a blog community system, it happen that james release the drupal4blogger , so i been play around with it. For mambo is because the theme system, i can always see a lot of nice theme for mambo which catching my attention ..

after i compare the latest version of both, i think

Mambo

• community is big
• got lots of nice theme
• lots of component
• quite professional
• poor user management system
• admin interface is confusing
• it seem need lots of resource to run

Drupal

• community smaller if compare to Mambo
• not so many theme
• moderate size of module but most module can serve different purpose
• user managementis good, assign different role on different permission
• admin interface looks clean and easy to use
• having quite a few build in module to control the traffic of site

thats basiclly my opinion after playing with it for some time, i need to build a small e commerce site for my sis in aus, i think Drupal will be a better choice, because its look easier, if i create a Mambo site for her, i wonder how long it takes for her to manage the site ..

there is some discussion on drupal about this issue , which i think quite worth to read, or compare these 2 on cmsmatrix  .. , btw spreadfirefox is build on Drupal !
