When i saw Riffs, the first thing that pop in my mind , is this a review version of digg ?
it looks like digg to me because you can actually rate anything and comment it , what you rating will push that particular item to the front page too .. sound familiar ya ? all item can be break into few main category, then you can add rating/write review for each item, just like most of web2.0 application, for social purpose, tag and rss is supported.
Some of the interesting feature that been include
- bookmarklet been implement for adding item
- base on yourt itunes playlist, it can generate a recommend playlist
- output the riffs on your site, lets say some one riff about your blog, you can show off by output this result
- import your del.icio.us accont url , so that you can riff on these item ( link )
Michael Arrington from TechCrunch mention that he don’t like Riffs , but from the comment i can see that it seem like certain feature on Riffs did attract the user, what they lack of its something to make them success, i not sure whats is that, but from small tools that Riffs include it seem like they try to find out what can really give them a boost.
