Its been long time since i last test up some new php open source script .. mainly because i got too many thing to do, quite bz , another thing is i feel that i easy to get addicted on new thing , later no time to take care of it.
during previous long weekend i found 2 cms which seem intersesting to me, these consider content management system (CMS) lite, why call it lite ? because compare to those famous one like xoops, drupal or mambo, these cms are small in size and suitable for small to medium size website to use.
the first one i would like to intro is Limbo, sound like mambo ? i havent see any info that this team related to mambo, but for the admin interface is quite similiar to mambo, including publish/unpublish each component .. , the standard feature like poll, weblink, news module are all include, template system and languague package is another main feature on this cms , and the whole script is not even more then 1 mb …
second one which catch my eye is toenda , it got one very unique feature, which call XML Database, if your hosting never provide you mysql, you can use this XML Database to run your toenda, its abit like running a text based cms, but in XML format .. , imagining all your data is XML woooooooo ! this cms is more suit for text based content web site, it allow you to create page by page easily .. mmm maybe can make a story site ? just like someone in taiwan using blog system to let ppl write novel …
