This morning wake up at 7 to get prepare for my friend’s ROM (register of marriage).
8am reach his house on time, meet with his family and go to the register place together..
basiclly i m the only one attend his ROM … geez if not because i meet him yesterday, i also dun know.
so after submit the documentation, and some paper work, about 9 o clock, we get into a small hall, then the register Officer is a 74 years old guy. The process took quite some time, we have to listen the Officer history, althought he is quite humor, but i still think its bored.
anyway while listen the officer explain the rule of marriage, i just know that if you never register your marriage to gov, when you kids born they can’t get the birth cert…
i do feel touch when seeing them exchange the ring, althought the wife is pregnant, but my friend willing to take the responsible and marry her. sob sob .. i believe lots of gal will go to abortion during this kind of situation .
after that i just shake hand with them and give them my bless then go home, althought they ask me for breakfast but i think for rushing back to sg, so i reject it.
